Portland-based multimedia artist Sophie Helsinger creates work that inhabits the liminal space between the vivid world of remembered childhood and the often darker, complex reality that comes with adult hindsight. With a foundation in painting and anatomical drawing, she re-imagines the rooms, toys, and emotional atmospheres of her earlier years.
